Brooklyn-based Grado Labs updates its line of in-ears with “improved bass and frequency response”

After a complete re-vamp of its line of over-ear headphones, Grado Labs has announced that its popular in-ears have received the same treatment. The GR8e and GR10e are follow-ups to its previous generation cans designed for on-the-go listening. For this Brooklyn-based headphones manufacturer, this is just another step in its legendary story.

With two models, the GR8e and 10e both offer a unique Grado styling with saturated colors highlighted by gold bands. The GR8e offers a frequency response of 20-20,000Hz with a 118dB rated level of sensitivity and an impedance of 120 ohms. They will come with a 51-inch cord and three different sized ear-tips for a custom fit, as well as ear wax proof cloth for cleaning. Grado promises a small size with an “excellent” seal in the ear for “improved bass and reduction of outside noise”. The GR8e is available now for $299.

Taking a step up, Grado also refreshed its GR10e in-ears with a new blend of materials that they claim adds a “frequency extension” to both the high and low ranges while “reducing distortion”. It has much of the same specs of the GR8e, with a frequency response of 20-20,00Hz and and an impedance of 120 ohms. The GR10e’s will ship with proprietary silicon earbuds in multiple sizes, with a 51-inch cord and ear wax proof cleaning cloths for $399.
