Free Xbox Live Gold Games for September: Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, Battlestations Pacific, more

We’ve come to the end of August and Microsoft is now ready to reveal its September freebies for the Games with Gold program. There will be four games available this month, head below for more details.

If you’re not already, be sure to pick up a 12-month pass to Xbox Live so you can get in on all the benefits of the service. Subscribers will get free access to Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition from September 16th to October 15th on Xbox One. This fan favorite adventure title brings all the action to Xbox One with “re-imaged” maps and details. It regularly goes for $20 but you’ll be snatching it for free.

Xbox One gamers will be getting The Deer God throughout the whole month of September. Regularly $20, this Kickstarter success story is a 3D pixel side-scroller that is about “survival, reincarnation, and karma”.

Over on the Xbox 360, Battlestations: Pacific (Reg. $25) will be available from the 1st-15th while Crysis 3 (Reg. $20) will be a free download during the last two weeks of the month. With Xbox One’s upcoming backwards capability update in November, Xbox Live subscribers will be able to grab four games a month instead of the current two.

With Dishonored: Definite Edition, Gears of War: UE, Madden NFL 16 and others coming out this week, it’s a great time to be on the Xbox One.
