Minecraft: Story Mode gets a release date as pre-orders ramp up

The much anticipated upcoming Minecraft: Story Mode now has a release date according to a new Amazon product listing. With a loaded cast of voices, including: Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, amongst others, this new story-based spin-off is packed with potential. Head below for pre-order information and additional details.

While Minecraft has enjoyed unparalleled popularity over the last six years, some gamers have been chiming for a story mode. This new version of the game will follow Jesse as he travels throughout the Over world, the Nether and beyond as he builds shelter and conquers problems that arise. This is the first of a five-part episode series. By pre-ordering this disc, you’ll have access to the rest of the story as it becomes available via download.

Although the game was initially announced back in late 2014, no release date has been mentioned. According to the Amazon listing, the magical day is October 27th on Xbox One with a price tag of $29.99. It will also be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Mac, Android, and iOS. If you pre-order now, you’ll be able to lock-in Amazon’s guarantee that will refund any difference in price between now and the release date.
