Sony reveals the first 1TB PlayStation 4 for North America w/ the new COD: Black Ops III bundle

Back at E3 2015, Sony announced PlayStation would be the home for Call of Duty with an exclusive Black Ops III beta and DLC, but we also caught wind of a leaked FCC filing pointing at an upcoming PS4 upgrade. And now, the company has taken to the official PlayStation blog to announce the first 1TB PlayStation 4 produced for gamers in the US in the form of the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Limited Edition Bundle:

The new console will ship with a 1TB hard drive, which according to Sony isthe first of its kind in North America.” However, as you can see from the images above, this is not just your typical console bundled with the game, exclusive content and a larger hard drive. The entire shell of the console and included DualShock 4 controller are decked out in Black Ops orange, black and grey. Along with the the BOIII logo along the front, the console features the SOG Skull, Winslow Accord faction and zombie logos to represent the various game modes (campaign multiplayer and zombie mode).

The bundle ships with the main game and new hardware, plus the bonus NUK3TOWN multiplayer map “re-imagined for a new generation of play.” The new edition console bundle will ship alongside the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops III in November with a suggested retail price of $449.99. It looks as though pre-orders are already available at Amazon, Best Buy and other retailers. The Call of Duty Limited Edition DualShock 4 Wireless Controller will also be sold separately for $64.99 and is already up for pre-order with an October 26th release date.
