Microsoft Spring Sale: official $50 price drop for all Xbox One bundles, digital game deals, more

Update (3/21 8:00am): The official Microsoft price drop on all Xbox One bundles is now live at Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart and more.

Microsoft is back at it again with another one of its supposed “limited time” price drops on Xbox One. Starting next week, Xbox One will get an official $50 price drop with options starting at $299. While there are a number of deep deals on bundles around right now, with a $299 starting point, we are expecting to see some impressive package deals hit eBay and other retailers:

Microsoft said the $50 price drop will apply to “all Xbox One console bundles at participating retailers in the US” including Tom Clancy Division, Name Your Game and Quantum Break bundles, along with others.

Now keep in mind, when Microsoft says “limited” it usually means the complete opposite and the price drop will likely become permanent. Back in 2014, Microsoft hit us with the first “limited time” $50 price decrease, from $400 down to $350. After a couple months the price jumped back up, only to go right back down to $350 permanently just two weeks later. In other words, chances are anyone who bought an Xbox One during those couple weeks may have paid more than they should have. Having said that, Microsoft did offer the same price drop this past holiday season for a few weeks and actually followed through. So it is hard to say for sure what will happen.

Just be aware, even though $300 seems a bit crazy to be the permanent Xbox One price (especially with the bundles), that may very well end up being the case over the next month or so. Make sure you keep a close eye on this post and Electronicsforward so you don’t end up spending way too much while Microsoft is still making up its mind.

Also starting March 22nd, over 150 Xbox Store deals go live up to 60% off including games, movies, TV shows and more.
