Bethesda’s E3 2016 highlights include new Dishonored 2 footage, Prey, Quake Champions, Skyrim special edition, more

The biggest gaming conference of the year is in full swing, with most of the major events occurring later today and tomorrow morning. EA kicked things off early yesterday afternoon, followed by quite an eventful Bethesda E3 2016 showcase. This year, we got a host of announcements on ID products including more Doom and a surprise Quake reveal. Arkane dropped some new gameplay footage/details on the highly anticipated sequel to Dishonored and the almost forgotten Prey made a triumphant return.

Head below for a closer look:

Dishonored 2 is looking fantastic. It takes place in the southern city of Karnaca this time around and will star two playable protagonists with a completely unique set of powers in Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin. The game is set for release on November 11th, 2016, and is already available for Prime members at 20% off.

Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2 – the next chapter in the award-winning Dishonored saga by Arkane Studios. Play your way in a world where mysticism and industry collide. Will you choose to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or the Royal Protector, Corvo Attano? Will you stalk your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character’s unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game’s hand-crafted missions.

Prey is back! Honestly, we never thought this vaporware would make the light of day, but Arkane looks be hard at work on a completely new entry in the Prey series. This is not a remake. The trailer showcases some interesting first-person sci-fi action, but we will have to wait until Quakecon to get anymore details on this one.

To much surprise, Bethesda revealed a brand new Quake game known as Champions last night. The new title looks to be bringing more of what the quake series popular back in the day: “fast, skill-based arena-style competition that turned the original Quake games into multiplayer legends.” Feast your eyes not he reveal trailer above.

Doom (hit its lowest price today on Amazon), is getting a host of free add-ons including new SnapMap tools and Hell visual themes, plus new multiplayer modes including fan favorites like Classic Deathmatch, capture the flag, and capture & hold. Full details above.

Bethesda Game Studios Director Todd Howard also shared some details on the new Fallout 4 DLC including the final expansion pack Nuka-World, content for Fallout Shelter, and what looks to be a pretty amazing Skyrim Definitive Edition. Skyrim Special Edition will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28th, 2016 , and “will support full PC Mods on console.”

Lastly, we also got some new details on Elder Scrolls Legends and a brand new expansion pack coming to Elder Scrolls Online called Dark Brotherhood.
