Black Friday always offers a wide variety of discounts on a number of products, but so far this year its been slim for consumers looking for a new Mac. We have confirmed some deals from Best Buy, but they are not offering a wide variety of configurations, and have tax implications depending on your state.
Adorama and B&H Photo are both offering discounts on most Mac models this week, we’ve already spotted a nice price drop on an iMac with Retina 5K display + AppleCare from Adorama.
In some cases Adorama is bundling AppleCare with a purchase for a discounted price. B&H currently only charges for taxes for New York residents at the time of purchase, while it varies for Adorama. Additionally, you’ll need a free Adorama VIP membership to take advantage of these prices.
Below you’ll find our top picks for deals on current generation MacBook Air, Retina MacBook Pro, Mac Pro and Mac Mini from these two retailers so far:

But over the past few years more and more Canadian retailers are adopting the popular American tradition, and this year is no exception. Like in the U.S,…

This time next week we’ll all be recovering from our Black Friday hangover and prepping for Cyber Monday. But before that, we have a whole lot of deals (and turkey!) to splurge on.
eBay Daily Deals is one of our favorite places to score a hot deal and we finally have its Black Friday plans. As expected, it includes some pretty great deals.
PlayStation 4 will be just $329.99, which is the lowest price we have ever seen and better than any other pre-announced Black Friday deal. We’re not sure on exact models or pricing, but the ad states that iPad Air 2 will get a 20% discount. An unlocked iPhone 6 will be available for $639.99. That’s just a $10 discount but it’s still notable since it’s the first deal we’ve ever seen on Apple’s latest smartphone and you can potentially save on sales tax at the time of purchase. The $35.99 Xbox Live 12-month Gold Membership and 25% iTunes gift card discount are also extremely strong deals.
Head below for Black Friday ads from Newegg, Microsoft, Sprint, Monoprice and a first look at Walmart’s Cyber Monday plans:
Both of those deals are far the lowest price we have ever seen on any 40-inch HDTV. If both remain in-stock, then I would choose the Emerson model due to it having a higher refresh rate.
You can also find 32GB iPod touches in every color $20 off. That’s not the best prices we’ve ever seen but a nice way to spend some gift cards that you know have in your pocket.
Hotel Tonight, the popular day-of reservation app for iOS and Android will be offering hotel deals in both the US and UK starting at $7 on Black Friday. Hotel Tonight says that these deals will be strategically located next to major shopping centers and outlet malls, so that shoppers can “grab a quick nap” between…
Update (11/20 10:30am): Walmart has released the full details of tomorrow’s Pre-Black Friday sale. Deals include a Playstation 4 with a free $50 gift card, a 40-inch HDTV for $115, Samsung Chromebook for $199 with a free $50 gift card, and the iPad/iPhone deals already mentioned below.
Walmart is keeping its promise to make Black Friday a monthlong sales event. We’ve already seen several doorbuster level deals from Walmart in the past week, but the big-box retailer has a couple more tricks up its sleeve.
Beginning at 8am on Friday, Walmart “will be matching or beating select Black Friday offers from top national competitors on items.” The press release is extremely vague when it comes to specific deals, but it did out one that we are especially excited for:
The included gift card brings the total effective iPad Air 2 price down to $389. Now, Target charges $10 more for the same iPad Air 2, but will beat Walmart by including a free $140 gift card. The only catch is that you may have to fight crowds or get lucky online to snag that deal. My advice is to grab whichever deal you happen to find in stock.
This sale also includes an iPhone 6 with a free $75 gift card for $179.
Check back Friday morning for our rundown of Walmart’s top Pre-Black Friday deals.
Black Friday ads from rival membership-only clubs, Costco and Sam’s Club, have already been revealed but today we’re getting a look at BJ’s ad. The 14-page ad leans heavily on HDTVs and home goods. An extremely weak 12% discount on iTunes gift cards is the only Apple-Related deal listed in the ad. Deals will run from 11/22 through…
TigerDirect’s in-store Black Friday advertisement has hit the web, and we’ve got some of the highlights here for you. As always,…

Now that Black Friday is less than two weeks away, we are getting a look at what major national game retailer GameStop will have to offer. The leaked ad shows discounts on everything from consoles to games, with over 4,000 stores open at midnight on November 28th.
For the most part, it looks as though GameStop will be matching Best Buy, Walmart and others with the major PS4 bundles at $400 and the Xbox One bundles starting at $330. But keep in mind, Sony announced the The Last of Us/GTA V bundle for $400 as an official price drop and should soon be available on Amazon. You’ll also find $20 to $30 off games on all platforms as well as discounts on accessories and older systems.
Samsung is allowing you to lock in your Black Friday savings before they officially go live on 11/23. Many of the following deals are also available at other retailers, but if you wait for those sales to go live you may have to camp out to snag a doorbuster or relentlessly check online.

The countdown to Black Friday is on, with just over two weeks left we are seeing more each day. This morning we have already seen flyers from Big Lots, as well as CVS, Shopko and True Value. Customers will find a variety of deals from these retailers, ranging from HDTVs and digital cameras at Costco to furniture and other home goods at Big Lots. Additionally, CVS, Shopko and True Value will each offer their own deals in a variety of categories such as home goods, christmas decorations and more.
Below you’ll find our favorite deals from each of the aforementioned retailers.
Walmart’s holiday deals often standout from a pricing and spectacle perspective. As seen in the lead image for this article, Walmart is planning three separate sales events for Black Friday 2014: November 28th 6am (event 3), November 27th 8pm (event 2), November 27th 6pm (event 1). Each event will ring in new deals that will last one to two days or until supplies are exhausted. See banner above for specifics.
Once again, Walmart stores will offer a 1-hour guarantee on select products, which means Walmart is promising that you’ll get your deal of choice by Christmas as long as your purchase is processed between 6-7pm on Thursday.
Enough with logistics, it’s time to explore the best Walmart Black Friday deals for 2014:
Today we are seeing even more Black Friday advertisement leaks, we just got our hands on Office Max and Office Depot’s holiday offerings. The companies have merged and will be offering the same deals from both retailers. We’ve gone through and picked out our favorite deals that you can expect on Black Friday:
It doesn’t get much bigger than Best Buy on Black Friday for a tech lover. And with a little over 2 weeks to go before Black Friday 2014, we’ve got the holy grail in our hands. Just like Target, Best Buy has beat the Black Friday ad leakers to the punch by releasing its biggest deals of the holiday season right on the front page of its website.
The deals will kick-off in-store Thursday, November 24th at 5pm and Friday, November 25th at 8am, but the ad specifically notes that you’ll be able to shop all-day long online both days. Doorbusters include a 4K Samsung 55-inch UHDTV for $899.99, all iPad Air 2 models $100 off, and Beats By Dre Solo headphones for $80.
So without further delay, here are our top picks for Black Friday 2014 at Best Buy as well as a sneak peak at the early sale beginning November 20th:
Each day we are seeing more and more Black Friday ad leaks, today we have an official preview from Staples detailing what to expect following Thanksgiving. As the leaked Black Friday ads continue to surface, today we got a look at what Target will be offering come the end of the month. The retailer says it will have hundreds of door busters and thousands of deals on everything from Apple products and gaming consoles with gift cards attached along with deep discounts on home goods and more. Items on pages 2 and 3 of the ad are available today to order online with free in-store pickup.

Along with a long list of discounted kitchenware, automotive items and other things for around the house, we are seeing deep discounts on grocery items, Christmas…
Kmart is next on the list of leaked Black Friday ads. We’ve got a peak at what the retailer will have to offer in both its Black Friday ad and the Thanksgiving ad, including a wide range of tools as well as HDTVs, kids’ toys and and a large selection of discounted cookware. Kmart will…
The beans were already spilled on Sam’s Club special sale set to launch next Saturday, but now we’ve got its full Black Friday plans as well. As expected, the big box chain is set to offer huge discounts on everything from high-end tech like curved 4K UHDTVs to everyday items like kitchenware.
Apple and Google fans will be especially happy since the leaked ad includes discounted iTunes/Google Play gift cards, iPads, iPhone 6, and more…
Retailers are striking even earlier this year with their best Black Friday/Holiday deals. Sam’s Club is planning a special Holiday Savings Celebration on Saturday, November 15th. Of course, when we first got our hands on this ad we were smitten with the iPhone 6 deal for $100. So much so, that we overlooked what we think is the best 4K UHDTV sale that has ever come across our deal desks…
The stream of leaked Black Friday ads are starting to pick up steam now with Sears, Dell, Walmart and others already starting to show their hands. And today we’ve got an early look at Meijer’s Thanksgiving and Black Friday ads. We’ve got our hands on another Black Friday ad leak, this time from Sears. It looks like the retailer will be offering a wide range of items for sale following Thanksgiving, with their ad book totaling 64 pages of deals. Sears offers numerous product categories, from home goods to clothing and electronics. We’ve looked through…
The seal has been broken! Our first (relevant) Black Fridayad leak for 2014 is for Dell Home & Office. All of the following deals are exclusively available at Dell.com. Thankfully Dell has specified the exact date and time that each doorbuster sale will go live, which will make it much easier for you to strategize on Black Friday.
In addition to several PC desktop and laptop deals, Dell is also offering significant savings on Bluetooth speakers, video games, monitors, and HDTVs…
A leaked sales flyer for Sam’s Club reveals that the wholesale retailer will begin selling the iPhone 6 for as low as $99 with a new two-year service agreement starting November 15th. The upcoming Black Friday promotion will see each iPhone 6 model on sale for $100 off their standard on-contract prices: 16GB ($99), 64GB ($199) and 128GB ($299).
Update: The PayPal promotion has expired, however we expect Newegg to continue these promotions throughout November. Continue to check Electronicsforward daily for the latest Holiday deals.
Today, Newegg is kicking off its sixth annual Black November savings for this holiday season. However, this weekend Newegg is partnering with Paypal to give early holiday shoppers an extra incentive.
All orders placed via PayPal at Newegg this weekend totaling $200 or more will receive a $20 discount on their purchase. To receive the discount, choose PayPal as your preferred checkout method, enter promo code 20PayPal and your savings will be deducted before your order is placed.
Less than 24 hours after Amazon divulged it would begin Black Friday countdown sales on November first, Walmart has announced that its holiday sales will also coincidentally start tomorrow. According to the press release, Walmart “will offer more than 20,000 Rollbacks on items including groceries and popular brands such as Disney “Frozen,” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Samsung, and Dell.”
The deals will ramp up on Monday, November 3rd with Nintendo 2Ds for $79 (Reg. $129), Sony 48-inch LED HDTV for $348 (Reg. $448), and much more.
Customers can opt for free in-store pickup on all items and free shipping on orders of $50 or more. If you don’t want to trek out to your local Walmart store then you’d be better off shopping at Target and taking advantage of its storewide free shipping offer.
We expect Black Friday ad leaks and other holiday promo details for other retailers to pick up steam over the next week as the calendar turns to November.
In the meantime, you can take a peek at some of Amazon’s upcoming deals:
Update (10/27 4:45pm): Microsoft is offering an additional 5% off any purchase from the Microsoft Store when you text Play to 29502 from your mobile device, simply enter the promo code that you receive via text during checkout. We have not seen any limitations or exclusions for this deal and assume that it will work once the $50 discounts for Xbox One begin.
The crazy deal season is just around the corner now, with Black Friday like discounts starting as early as the beginning of next month from what we are hearing at this point. Microsoft looks as though it will be one of the first major manufacturers to announce deep sale pricing with its latest home console dropping $50 across the board.
Typically only orders exceeding $50 or placed with a REDcard would evade shipping costs. The only other option was to choose free in-store pickup. Again, there is no order minimum on this promotion so everything from cheap DVDs to pricey HDTVs are fair game.
We really hope that this forces the hand of other retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Staples to put their free shipping requirements on hold this holiday season.
