The Internet Archive steps up its game by offering nearly 2,400 MS-DOS classic titles for free

The Internet Archive keeps raising its game, or at least adding more. After bringing back 900 classic arcade games last year, they’ve doubled down this week by offering close to 2,400 MS-DOS titles for free. These games are available to play right in your browser without any installation required…

They are bringing back a number of classics such as 4D Prince of Persia, Bust-A-Move, Wolfenstein 3D and more. Check out the full list of games available here. There is not a lot of documentation out there on how to play the games from Internet Archive themselves, so you’ll have to do a little exploring when it comes to the controls.

These games are still being operated in beta as Jason Scott, software curator, continues to develop the system of play. Basically, that means you might see some bugs along the way when you’re trying navigate the original Donkey Kong through the jungle. Potential issues aside, this is a pretty sweet way to play some throwback games.
