Seagate’s recently released USB 3.0 Expansion drives: 4TB desktop $100 (Orig. $160), 1TB Portable $55 (Orig. $70)

Update (5/4 8:25am): We have now spotted the 2TB model from this recently released hard drive line for $79.99 shipped using code EMCASAR26 in the cart. That’s 20% under the original listing and the lowest we can find.

We have spotted a couple recently released Seagate hard drives today, rivaling per TB prices of models that have been around for years. First up, Adorama via eBay Daily Deals is offering the Seagate Expansion 4TB Desktop External USB 3.0 Hard Drive (STEB4000100) for $99.99 shipped. That’s $60 under the original listing, $20 below the average selling price/Amazon, and the best price we can find.

This drive is compatible with both USB 2.0 and 3.0 and can offer a significant amount of extra storage for your devices including Xbox One. It has a 4.2/5 star rating from nearly 50 Amazon customers.

Next we have the 1TB portable model from the same line for $54.99 shipped. The Seagate Expansion 1TB Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0 (STEA1000400) has an original price of $70 and is currently going for $60 elsewhere. Having already dropped to $55 within a month of appearing on Amazon, this is about as good as a 1TB portable drive gets (from a trusted company) outside of special once a year deals.

You can expect the same features as the above drive on top of being bus powered and much more portable. It has received a 4.6/5 star rating from nearly 30 Amazon customers in the last 25 days since it became available.

If you’re looking for some flash drive storage we still have some notable deals available on 8/16GB Lexars and PNYs, plus more options in today’s Daily Deals.
