Microsoft’s new special edition Halo 5 Xbox One is absolutely phenomenal. It’s designed with a UNSC (United Nations Space Command) theme in mind, based on Halo 5 and is a must-have for any Xbox fan. Today we’re taking a closer look at it to see what makes this special edition so special…
The design of this Xbox One keeps the same format and form-factor when compared to the original console, but the appearance is drastically different thanks to the colors and awesome Halo-themed markings. Inside of the box you’ll find all of the standard connection cables needed to get the console up and running, but there are a few extra goodies in there as well. There’s a very cool Halo themed controller, and also a metal game book that includes some extras.
As far as the console design goes, this is one of the best looking special edition Xbox Ones I’ve ever seen. It features a matte metallic gray finish with metallic blue accents and has markings/textures embossed into the plastic. Along with that, it even packs a 1TB hard drive inside. The same design is carried over to the custom controller and it’s really something you need to see for yourself. Check out our video below to take a closer look:

The metal book included features a download code for Halo 5, a free 14-trial to Xbox Live, a Halo 5-themed operation order to play along with the story line of the game, a set of character cards for each Spartan in Halo 5 (including a backstory and some stats), and a Metal Earth Guardian statue. The only downside is that you’ll have to completely assemble the statue yourself and it’s a big pain in the butt.
Either way, the entire package is pretty awesome and is a nice way to stand out in the crowd. As mentioned, if you’d like to take a closer look at the console and what comes with it, be sure to check out our video embedded above. If you’d like to pick one up for yourself, this new Halo 5 Xbox One bundle is available for $499, but you can also pick up the controller separately if desired ($67.99 on Amazon), or the standalone Halo 5 special edition game ($249.99), and there’s even a special Master Chief version of the controller as well. What do you think of the new Halo 5 Xbox One bundle?
