BLU Life One X Android phone with 5.2-inch full HD screen & octa-core processor $99 shipped (Reg. $149)

BLU pretty much blew us away in December when it announced pre-orders of the Life One X. At $99, it was the first ever Android phone with a full HD screen and solid metal frame to cost under $1oo. Once pre-orders ended, it was back up to its recommended retail price of $149, which is still a good deal. But, for today only, the phone has dropped back down to its pre-order price point, and is once again available in black and white for just $99 on Amazon.

Spec-wise, we’re looking at a dual-SIM smartphone running Android 5.1 Lollipop with a full HD 1080p display coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, an octa-core 1.3GHz processor made by Mediatek and a 13MP rear camera equipped with PDAF (phase detection autofocus). It’s compatible with LTE bands 2, 4, 7, 12 and 17, making it suitable for most US GSM networks.

Reviews on Amazon have been mostly positive, with an average score of four stars with 811 reviews left on the page so far. We’re not sure how much inventory has been put aside for today’s 24-hour discount, but if you’re in the market for a cheap spare phone, or you just need a very affordable Android smartphone with few compromises, it’ll be hard to find anything better than the Life One X, especially at the $100 mark.

You can pick up the BLU Life One X for $99 on Amazon today only, once the 24-hour period ends, it’ll be back up to $149.
