Unlocked AT&T BlackBerry PRIV down to $389 + free shipping (Reg. $649)

Months after its launch, the BlackBerry PRIV has finally seen its first decent price cut. While ShopBlackBerry — the manufacturer’s official online store — cut the price to $649 a few weeks ago, one trusted eBay seller is now offering the device for under $400.

For $380, customers can buy a brand new, unlocked AT&T version of BlackBerry’s Android-powered QWERTY slider from QualityCellz; a Top Rated Plus seller with 99% positive feedback. This represents a huge $270 discount on BlackBerry’s own current retail price. Free economy shipping is included, but you can pay more if you want expedited or one-day shipping.

While we’ve enjoyed our time with the BlackBerry PRIV since it launched, it’s always been hard to recommend as a must-buy.

Although much of its hardware and many of its features are exemplary (screen and custom software come to mind), its build quality and camera leave a lot of room for improvement. Compared to the S7 Edge (for example) it doesn’t feel like a $600+ phone. At $380, it’s definitely good value for the money, particularly with Android Marshmallow recently being pushed out.

As a reminder, the PRIV features a large 5.4-inch AMOLED display boasting a resolution of 1440 x 2560 as well as a Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It also has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 200GB via MicroSD. The 18MP camera on the back features Schneider-Kreuznach optics, f/2.2 aperture, OIS and 4K video recording at 30fps. What’s more, the 3,410mAh battery is certainly capacious enough and can be charged up fast using Qualcomm’s impressive Quick-Charge 2.0 technology.
