iTunes offers sci-fi thriller ‘Ex Machina’ (HD download) for $5 in ‘Blockbuster July’ sale

Apple is featuring a movie deal in iTunes each day this month as part of a “Blockbuster July” promotion, and today’s pick is 2015’s critically acclaimed sci-fi film Ex Machina ($4.99).

Get Ex Machina HD download for $4.99 from iTunes now.

Amazon is matching the $4.99 price (Reg. $13) for its HD download of the movie.

Apple’s synopsis of the film:

“Alex Garland, writer of 28 Days Later and Sunshine, makes his directorial debut with the sylisha nd cerebral thriller, EX MACHINA. Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson), a programmer at an internet-search gial, wins a competition to spend a week at the private mountain estate of the company’s brilliant and reclusive CEO, Nathan  Bateman (Ocscar Isaac). Upon his arrive, Caleb learns that Nathan has chosen him to be the human component in a Turing Test.”

Apple is featuring a new movie deal each day for the rest of July, and it sometimes features different titles for each country participating in the sale. Today’s deal in Canada, Italy and the UK, to name a few participating countries, is also Ex Machina.
