The AIAIAI TMA-2 modular headphone system brings Bluetooth into the mix for iPhone 7 users

There’s been a lot of hubbub over the future of headphones since Apple made the move to eliminate the 3.5mm jack on iPhone 7. A Danish company by the name of AIAIAI has revealed the H05 smart wireless headphone with an integrated Bluetooth system that adds-on to its TMA-2 Modular Headphone system. The goal here is to build a product that can grow and change with consumers over time as technology develops. AIAIAI’s TMA-2 system has been available for awhile with over 1,000 possible configurations that can be changed for individual listening preferences.

The addition of the H-05 opens up a whole new world of wireless possibilites. It offers support for AptX audio for high resolution streaming and users can expect around 16 hours of battery life on a full charge, which is powered via USB-C (another forward facing decision by the company). There are a number of different levels of pledging on Kickstarter for this project, including $174 for the full kit. If all goes to plan, it will ship in May.

H05 is the first major update for the TMA-2 Modular Headphone System: A smart, wireless headband with an integrated Bluetooth module. The headband was inspired by suggestions from our users. The TMA-2 modular system enables us to listen and react to their feedback, so that our product can last, even as our customers’ tastes change and develop to include new technologies. Importantly, this headband means any TMA-2 configuration can be wireless for new users, and existing users can upgrade to wireless while keeping their original sound preferences.
