Score an imported Sony Alpha a7SII mirrorless camera (body-only) for $2,299 shipped, a whopping 23% off MSRP

The Sony Alpha a7SII is widely respected for its low light video capabilities, and this is the first time that I’ve seen this full frame monster go on sale for south of $2500.

Electronics Valley (99.7% positive feedback, Top-Rated Plus Seller) offers an imported Sony a7SII mirrorless camera for only $2,299 shipped with a 1-Yr seller warranty. That’s $500 less than Amazon, and $700 off the price you’ll find on B&H. Today’s deal is the best offer currently available.

The a7SII is well regarded for its low light shooting ability, but the presence of things like in-body image stabilization, and internal 4K video capture make it a truly remarkable piece of kit for videographers. And that’s really just scratching the surface with this camera.

The more budget-friendly Sony a6300 is a remarkable camera itself, but it features a much smaller crop sensor. That makes it limited when it comes to things like low light shooting. It also won’t easily afford the same amount of bokeh that full frame shooters like the a7SII are known for without assistance from addons.

Keep in mind that import, or so-called grey-market camera models don’t guarantee that Sony USA will honor the factory warranty, though in many cases it will. As a result U.S. Electronics Valley itself is offering a one year warranty.

The seller, who has a sterling eBay seller rating, notes that this product was imported and may include material differences from the Sony products authorized for distribution in the United States.

That said, keep in mind that this is a brand new unopened Sony a7SII. It’s not refurbished or reconditioned, it’s brand new in the box. For $700 off the retail price, I’m definitely considering buying this camera. I’ve purchased imported cameras in the past, and have always had good experiences.

With all of the money you’ll save, you’ll have plenty of cash left over to pick up some extra batteries or a fast 128GB SD Card for housing all of that beautiful 4K footage.
