Misfit has worked hard to standalone amongst the crowded world of fitness trackers with unique and screenless designs. Today, they are diverting from past trends and releasing a new model that is built around a large touch-enabled display. The new Misfit Vapor was announced at CES 2017 with an attractive stainless steel casing and a swimproof design to 50 meters. Much like Apple Watch, users will be able to swap out bands as needed for different situations. Vapor is driven by a 1.39-inch OLED screen that is backed by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor.
Of course, it will feature all of the popular fitness tracking sensors including heart-rate monitoring, an accelerometer, GPS and more. There is 4GB of internal storage that can handle offline music and apps (more on this at a later date). A built-in Bluetooth radio offers audio playback with compatible wireless headphones. Best of all, users can expect a full two-days of battery life on a full charge. The Misfit Vapor is slated to ship in black and rose gold with a $199 price tag. It is expected to be available for pre-order shortly with an anticipated summer ship date.
