Littlebits introduces new Code Kit: build games, learn to code, have fun

Littlebits, the STEM and education company, is back with another one of its widely popular kits, which this time focuses on programming. Unveiled earlier today, the new Code Kit centers around building interactive games, and hopefully learning how to code in the process.

The Code Kit comes with 16 bits, 30+ accessories and plenty of resources to get you started building. It interacts with a companion computer application which allows you to design and create games with a visual, drag and drop interface. The kit also includes four prebuilt game-based inventions: Tug-of-War, Ultimate Shootout, Hot Potato and Rockstar Guitar. Littlebits’ latest kit retails for $300 and while it is available for purchase now, won’t be shipping until later this year in June. It you’re just too excited and can’t wait to start tinkering, Amazon has a deal on one of Littlebits’ other kits.

The secret to learning? Make. It. Fun. So this kit’s all about learning to build & code through games. With games, students embrace failure, make their own rules, think critically, and collaborate.
