adidas EQT Support Adv brings a modern twist to retro sneakers

Being that we are in the year 2017, that doesn’t mean you won’t see things from your past return. But don’t worry, its not a crazy ex or anything – it’s better, it’s sneakers. If you were around in 1991, then you remember when adidas released its iconic EQT shoe line. You also remember when it faded away. If not, then here is your introduction. Say hello to the EQT Support ADV, it’s back and it’s better.

The EQT Support ADV (Equipment Support Advanced) shoe is inspired by its 90’s predecessor, with a signature knit upper mesh body that allows for your feet to breathe. It has a sock-like construction (OrthoLite sockliner to be exact), with elasticity that will still fit nice and snug. This also provides for great comfort with a special help of the cushioned EVA midsole and the soft molded TPU support on the heel. These are light, snug, and very comfortable just as you would expect, just from looking at them. Adidas really took the time to incorporate a great range of different technologies to make sure you feel like you’re walking on air, while looking good.

So far the color ranges for these sneakers have been great! Not only versatile but also eye-catching. You will know when someone is wearing these shoes, you really can’t miss them. It may not be Ultraboosts or NMDs but they definitely look just as good if not, better. The EQT Support ADV subtly dons the classic 3-stripes on both sides of the shoe, which really allows for that old school nostalgic feel. Adidas makes sure to remind us that this is a retro shoe with a modern twist. The beauty is that it can be used for both active wear and casual!

You can find these shoes at a good amount of retailers for both men and women. But that doesn’t mean they will last long. Some of the most popular styles have already sold out and are hard to come by.  Especially with sneakers being more for fashion than fitness, don’t expect them to last on the shelves for long.  Some retailers with a great selection include: adidas, Macy’s, Asos, Urban Outfitters, Eastbay and Amazon. Majority of the styles start at $110, unless you’re feeling fancy and exclusive.

Our top style picks:

  • Men’s Olive Cargo/Black: $110
  • Women’s Granite/Orage: from $109
  • Men’s Black: $180
  • Women’s Black Multi-color: $120
