Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for the Nintendo E3 showcase. As usual, the company isn’t putting on your typical press event, but rather a Nintendo Direct like stream. Most were expecting a lot of Super Mario Odyssey but we actually got a fairly evenly spread presentation with some serious promises on franchises fans have been waiting on for years and more…
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
We got a brand new trailer for Xenoblade, and as usual, its massive open world and JRPG aesthetics look amazing. Outside of Breath of the Wild, this is clearly going to be one of best role playing games on the platform.
Explore an endless ocean of clouds, where the last remnants of civilization live on the backs of colossal beasts called Titans. Experience the story of Rex and his new friend, Pyra, a mysterious being known as a Blade who grants him tremendous power. Together, search for Pyra’s long lost home Elysium, the ultimate paradise for all of humanity. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch, Holiday 2017.

Kirby
Next up, Nintendo showed off a brand new gameplay trailer for Kirby. This is one my personal most anticipated, colorful platformer on Switch. But we are going to have to wait for a while.
The new Kirby is slated for “2018”.

Pokemon
A “core RPG Pokemon title” is in development for Nintendo Switch (whoo!) that “may not release for another year”. But wow, thank you, finally!
Metroid Prime 4
Metroid Prime 4 is now in development for Nintendo Switch!!! This might be the shortest teaser I have ever seen, but I couldn’t be more excited!
Yoshi
A new Yoshi paper-like game is coming in 2018. We don’t know much about this one, but take a look for yourself.
Fire Emblem Warriors
The new Fire Emblem Warriors for 3DS got a new trailer and the promise of a “Fall 2017” release date.

Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC packs
Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is getting some DLC packs this year including new gear, game modes and story-based add-ons.
- The Master Trials – Expansion Pack 1: June 30th
- The Champions Ballad – Expansion Pack 2: Holiday 2017
There are 4 new amiibo coming for Switch/Breath of the Wild.
Super Mario Odyssey
Super Mario Odyssey certainly had many people talking with its downright odd game worlds, but Nintendo showed off a lot more of the game today, and I was personally left with a slightly more positive impression. But this one level with real people in it, still seems extremely “I can’t believe they did that” and out of place.
Mario’s magic hat appears to let him take control of anything(one) who is wearing it.
Super Mario Odyssey will release on October 27th, 2017

Rocket League
Rocket League is also coming to Switch with exclusive content come “Holiday 2017”.
