The LEGO Ninjago Movie is set to hit theaters on September 22nd. If you’re unfamiliar with the Ninjago series, it is one of the company’s longest running and completely original IP. It spans a massive array of building kits and is soon to hit the silver screen. As expected we are starting to see some new building kits get unveiled just ahead of the release of the film, including what might be one of the most impressive (and biggest) official kits we have seen in a while…

Reports suggest the new Ninjago City kit is among the top five largest sets LEGO has ever dropped. It is made up of over 4,800 pieces and will ship with 16 different minifigures. You can catch a glimpse of them below. While the particular identities of each of them will be much more recognizable once the film has released, we are getting a cop, a cook, some obvious ninjas, kids and even an awesome looking little robot guy.

The city itself, which can be split into three different pieces in order to reveal of the details inside, sits over 2-feet tall when fully assembled. Inside you’ll find everything from a fish market to apparel and comic book stores, an ATM, a radio tower and even a river running through the middle of town. Needless to say, this one impressive official kit and it isn’t cheap either. It will run you $300 when it releases on September 11th.

On top of the massive Ninjago City kit, we are also getting a few more sets like the Destiny’s Bounty ship that comes with 4 minifigs including some ninja pirates, roll-up panel roofing and a 2,295 piece count. Again, the detail looks fantastic here so the $159.99 price tag should come as no surprise. We are also getting a giant mech, an actual ninja mech dragon, the Ice Tank and a sweet little Jelly Sub, you can see below.

  • Garma Mecha Man (70613) $60
  • Flying Jelly Sub (70610): $30
  • Ice Tank (70616) $80
  • Green Ninja Mech Dragon (70612) $50

These additional kits will be made available on August 1st.

And we still have some great deals on the LEGO City Great Vehicles Ferry, LEGO Batman Movie Collectable Minifigures and more in our LEGO Guide. You’ll also want to check out these discounted LEGO DC Super Hero Alarm Clocks at Best Buy.
