Trends come and go so choose wisely and splurge occasionally too. The trick is to find pieces that will get through a season or two without going out of style. Below I’ve rounded up a shoe selection for men and women that are making waves this season.
If you’re looking to spruce up your summer wardrobe, now is the perfect time to do so. A great pair of shoes will take an everyday outfit and make it top-notch. Lately when I have been shoe shopping, I can’t help but be overwhelmed by the selection of designers look-a-likes I see. There are thousands of designer dupe pieces on websites that you’ve never heard of before and they may come back to fall apart after you’ve wore them a few times. I’ve tried to pick pieces that are from stores that are well known and affordable. Each one of the shoe styles below has the splurge version and a save version of the item. Keep scrolling to see which pieces you need to add to your wardrobe.
Women’s Shoes
Above are a few of the biggest summer shoe trends for women. The first pair is the Valentino Rockstud Gladiator Sandal that values over $975. I’ve found an almost identical pair from Target for only $33: Berseyville Pyramid Gladiator Sandals. Next up is a nude strappy sandal that will go with anything in your closet. The first pair is the Sam Edelman Sandal for only $100. This is a dupe for the Saint Laurent Jane Patent Leather Sandals, which has a price tag of almost $700. Lastly, are the brown ankle strap wedges. Steve Madden Jaylen’s Wedge is an almost identical look-a-like of the Marc Fisher LTD Adalyn Espradille for half the cost.
Men’s Shoes
Step into summer with style on a budget. The first pair is the Birkenstock Arizona Soft Slide, which are known for being comfortable and trendy. I’ve found an almost identical pair, the AEO Suede Double Buckle Sandal for only $21. Needing a new sneaker this season? Sperry’s 7 Seas Sneaker is a look-a-like for the Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak Running Shoe. Sperry’s sneaker is only $60 compared to the Nike Running shoe which is $160. Lastly, I wanted to throw in a boat shoe for summer. The Sperry Gold Billfish Boatshoe has a look-a-like for only $35: Dexter Caimbridge Boat Shoe.
