Shonin is like a dashcam for your life that uploads to the cloud

The world is an unpredictable place and each day when you leave your house you never know what you may encounter. A new startup wants you to be able to capture everything that may happen,  so the truth will prevail. Currently being funded on Kickstarter, the Shonin Streamcam wearable camera can record right to the cloud using cellular or Wi-Fi.

You can easily clip it to your clothing, bag, bicycle or any other place on your person. Just one tap and this rugged and waterproof little camera will begin recording. The Shonin instantly stores your video in the cloud so you can set it to livestream to services like Facebook, YouTube or encrypt it to an internal SD card. The battery can last for up 2.5 hours of recording and it has a 720p or 1080p video resolution with a wide angle view. An 8GB SD card is included for offline recording. You can use a tether to your phone to upload video or for an extra charge you can get the cellular model with a data plan and SIM card.

The creators of Shonin hope that like a visible security camera mounted on a wall, their product will also act as a deterrent from criminal behavior when displayed prominently.

With 28 days left in its campaign, Shonin has already met its fundraising goal of $30,000. You can get your own Shonin wearable camera in your choice of color for $169 or cellular for $259 as part of the early bird special. If all goes as planned, shipping to backers will begin in February of next year.

If that seems like a long time to wait, Amazon has a ton of options available today that can do the trick as far as body cams go. You can even find glasses with a hidden cam there as well.
