RoboPal is a new kit that gets your kids building and coding with robots

Creating robots and coding isn’t just a new fad for kids toys these days. It’s an important learning tool for all kinds of different fields your child might want to get into one day. Currently being funded on Kickstarter is one of these new toys called RoboPal and it hopes to turn building robots and coding into fun playtime for kids.

Take a look at the new Robopal in the video below. It is being dubbed as the “world’s first programmable learning robot” with a magnetic coding block system. Kids can use these blocks as a simple programming language to control the robot. Like a a few of the STEM toys we’ve covered here before, RoboPal attempts to turn complex coding into a fun hands-on game experience for kids. All they have to do to get started is combine the magnetic coding blocks into a sequence that the robot can then decipher and take action from there.

RoboPal even has ten available USB ports for even more expandability options to provide your kids with enough activities ensuring that they’ll never get tired of it. Also, like most new coding toys we’ve been seeing lately, its completely compatible with LEGO for an unbelievable amount of building options to be explored further. RoboPal also has an integrated LED display and can even speak. There are 14 different facial expressions and RoboPal has 15 different preset voices as well.

Establish a solid foundation for kids to learn coding language and logical thinking with physical blocks. With the basic kit, your kid can control the robot to move around with blocks, REPEAT block and INPUT(if) block. What’s more, matching with other accessories, such as the sensor, the robot can be programmed with more activities.

Don’t worry if it is a little intimidating for your child right out of the box. RoboPal offers more online videos, tutorials and educational books that will help your kids learn concepts and of course entertain them at any skill level.

With over 40 days left in its campaign, RoboPal still has a ways to go to meet its fundraising goal of $15,000. If you’re interested in this new STEM toy you can pledge $129 or more and get one of the early bird specials. The basic set includes the RoboPal robot, nine coding blocks, two accessories, four cables and the storybook that comes with tutorials, lessons and more. Shipping is expected to start for backers in February of 2018.
