The CC Aurora is a small portable projector with big features and a long lasting battery

The CC Aurora is a wireless projector developed by XGIMI that combines various smart features into a portable device with a long lasting battery. Currently being funded on Indiegogo, the projector has already reached more than 200% of its goal needed for production.

What really sets the CC Aurora apart from other competitors is it has 350 ANSI lumens and can project an image of up to 180 inches on a flat surface. Just like other small portable projectors out there the CC Aurora only has a resolution of 720p, but it’s the brightness and scale that make this device a little better than the competition.

The physical size of CC Aurora is relatively small at 5.4 x 5.3 x 4.7, but that makes it just a little bit larger and boxier than some of its competitors. It’s also a little heavier than some of those ultra-light portables at 3.3lbs. Where it definitely shines here is its battery life. You can reportedly get up to 4 hours of playtime on a single charge. Also, you’re bound to get pretty good sound coming from the built-in JBL speakers.

There are more connectivity features than most including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay and DLNA in addition to the available USB, HDMI and 16GB of internal storage. It even has a Bluetooth remote that comes along with it, plus smartphone controls with its free app.

With a pledge of $399 or more you can get a CC Aurora projector off the early bird special from its Indiegogo campaign site. That’ s 29% off and the current lowest you can get it for. With your purchase you’ll get one CC Aurora projector and save $170 from the planned MSRP of $569. If all goes as planned, shipping to backers will begin in January of 2018.
