The 2017 Game Awards kicked off in Los Angeles tonight with much anticipation. The 4th annual presentation has become known for unveiling brand new IPs and new trailers in between the awards themselves. Producer Geoff Keighley has once again brought together the industry’s best and a series of massive world premieres for the year’s biggest award show in gaming.
Along with the PlayStation and Xbox Video Game Award sales running right now, you’ll find all the highlights from the show below…
The nominees are selected by a series of influencers and media members. The winners are then decided by a combination of votes from the industry professionals and the fans themselves.
Here are some of the notable award winners:

- Best Action Game: Wolfenstein 2 The new Colossus
- Best Score/Music: NieR Automata
- Best Art Direction: Cuphead

As expected, Hideo Kojima’s highly-anticipated and mysterious Death Stranding premiered a brand new trailer at the 2017 Game Awards. There are likely more questions than answers here still, but you can feast your eyes on the new footage above.
Bayonetta 3 Nintendo Switch
Here’s the teaser for the new Nintendo Switch exclusive Bayonetta 3. You’ll find it at the tail end of the video above where we also see the Bayonetta 1 and 2 bundle for Nintendo Switch coming in February 2018.
Witchfire
Witchfire is a brand new IP from the creators of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Bulletstorm. Crazy FPS action against some kind of undead legion of enemies is on display here.
GTFO
GTFO is a brand new 4-player co-op game. This looks like some serious intensity FPS action with hoards of monsters with some strategic teamwork-based gameplay. Footage above.
Shadows Die Twice
Shadows Die Twice World Premiere, the new From Software game!! Bloodborne? DLC?
PlayerUnknown’s Battleground
Here’s the much anticipated new desert level for PlayerUnknown’s Battleground. It will be available tonight on the test servers before it hits Xbox One next year.
Fortnite Battle Royale
Fortnite Battle Royale Mode is here. That’s 50 vs. 50 and it is available right now.
Grab your friends and jump into Fortnite Battle Royale’s limited-time 50v50 mode. The mode is only around until Dec. 17, so take part in some epic battles while you can!
Fade to Silence
This is the Fade to Silence (entirely in-game footage) trailer and it’s coming next week on Steam. The survival-action game is also coming to all consoles next year.
Valley of the Gods
From the creators of Fire Watch comes In the Valley of the Gods. It looks to be a similar first person experience as Fire Watch with a co-op based gameplay style. Set for a 2019 release, check out the trailer above.
