There’s no doubt that if you’re reading this, you either have a Nintendo Switch or plan to get one soon. Maybe you’ve owned a Switch since release, or maybe you just opened one up on Christmas morning. Either way, you’ll want a safe and stylish way to transport your Switch around. I know I did, and the pink and neon green Splatoon case that I got with my Switch bundle grew old really fast.
Well, WaterField Designs is back at it again with the Arcade Gaming Case for Nintendo Switch. This US built leather and canvas carrying pouch is high quality and premium, but it does come at a price. Currently right around $110, this carrying pouch isn’t for the super budget-conscious, but I find it’s well worth the cost.
I got the Arcade Gaming Case in Waxed Canvas to match my Air Porter that we recently reviewed. The leather is genuine and I love the look and feel of the Waxed Canvas. So far, after being put in and out of my Air Porter and toted around by itself, my Arcade Gaming Case is wearing beautiful.
Working from front to back, there’s a magnetic flap covering a nice-sized pouch. I store my stand and games in here. Actually, I ended up getting the Game Card Holder from WaterField as well to keep my games organized, and as expected, it fits perfectly up here. The stand I keep with me always is the HORI Compact Playstand for Nintendo Switch, and it fits seamlessly in the front flap with my Game Card Holder.
Behind the magnetic flap is the zippered main compartment. In this area, there are two large pockets and one large open space. I use this area to keep the rest of my Switch accessories. I’ll generally have my Joy-Cons lose in one pocket, Joy-Cons in a Comfort Grip (or my Pro Controller) in the other, and the Switch itself in the larger compartment.
The Arcade Gaming Case carries most of what I’d need for a mobile Switch session, I just wish it was a tad bigger to carry both the Joy-Con Comfort Grip and Pro Controller with the dock. As it stands, I just about stuff it full carrying two sets of controllers and the Switch itself.
If you’re looking for a stylish way to carry the Nintendo Switch around, the Arcade Gaming Case from WaterField Designs is a no-brainer. At $110, it is a little on the expensive side, but you pay for quality and materials here. WaterField creates and produces their products right here in the US at its San Francisco office. If the Arcade Gaming Case tickles your fancy as a Switch bag, head on over to the WaterField website where it’s available for sale.
