Ring unveils new home security cams, sensors, outdoor lighting and more at CES 2018

Ring is quickly becoming one of the premiere brands in home security/automation. The company’s doorbell products have been a very popular choice for a while now and were the recipients of deep deals over the Black Friday holiday. With CES in full swing and the recent acquisition of Mr. Beams, Ring is readying a completely refreshed lineup of home security and connected outdoor lighting products for 2018…

This week’s announcements are separated into three categories: the new home cams, lighting products and more details on the company’s customizable whole home security solution.

First up, we are taking a look at the new Stick Up Cam. The battery-powered, weather-proof security cam works both indoors and out featuring 1080p HD video, two-way audio as well as infrared motion sensors.

There is also the Stick Up Cam Elite which is more or less the same thing as the basic Stick Up Cam, but it can only be powered via a traditional wall outlet or ethernet. The WiFi-enabled Elite model features the same audio/visual capabilities, but with a more advanced motion sensor (and zone detection) system.

It sounds like both models are compatible with the company’s $49 Ring Solar Panel Charger. Pricing and confident release dates have yet to be disclosed.

Next up, Ring is unveiling a new lineup of connected outdoor lighting products as a direct result of its acquisition of Mr. Beams. Some of you might remember the Mr. Beams motion sensor/solar pathway lights we have featured in the past.

Well, the new Ring Beams are basically Ring’s take on that, but with a much more connected ecosystem. It looks like we are getting 4 flavors by way of a basic nightlight, motion sensors, pathway lighting and your typical spotlight. All of the new Ring Beams products integrate directly with the Ring app and the rest of the company’s eco system of security cameras, sensors and doorbells.

Remember that customizable whole home security system Ring unveiled previously? It looks like the $199 Ring security system is finally ready for Prime time. Along with the $10/month, 24/7 cloud monitoring, the package includes the base station, a keypad, infrared sensor, and Z-Wave extender, along with a contact sensor.

You’ll find more details right here and you can expect just about all of the Ring devices to hit store shelves sometime this year with the full security system scheduled for “Spring 2018”.

Stay locked to Toys as the week rolls on for all the best announcements from CES 2018.
