All electronics look the same. You and a friend might have the same phone, laptop, or even gaming console. Sure, there are sometimes different variations within devices, be it black or white, or maybe Xbox One X compared to the normal Xbox One S.
No matter what, though, the stylings of the units will always look the same. Similarly, gaming consoles, in particular, stand out when they are on an entertainment center, which can sometimes be the goal, and other times be the exact opposite of what you want. Head below to read our full thoughts from installation to final product on Toast for the Xbox One X.
That’s where custom skins come in. More specifically, Toast. It is a made in the USA real wood skin that uses a 3M adhesive backing to stick to your devices. This means that it’s removable without damage, but on there for the long-haul if you don’t want to remove it. Installation is fairly simple and can easily be done in less than 20 minutes if you just follow the instructions and take your time.
Toast recently launched its real wood skins for the Xbox One X, and when they did, we immediately got in contact. Installation was quick and simple, taking maybe 20 minutes while even doing filming for the video you can watch below. If you happen to mess up during a section of the install, it’s possible to remove the skin and re-position it, as long as it’s not been too long since the initial install.

Included in the package you’ll find the top skin, both sides (both top and bottom of the sides), front skins (again, top and bottom), with the final pieces being small button covers so everything is “Toasted.”
The look is super unique and uniform at the same time. I chose the ebony wood as my Xbox sits inside of an espresso/ebony colored entertainment center, and I wanted it to blend in. Now, when you look at my entertainment center, it’s hard to spot the Xbox unless it’s powered on, and that’s exactly how I wanted it.
There are a variety of different woods to choose from, however. And, for further customization, you can even have Toast etch something into the skin of your choosing. Whether it be a name, logo, or just awesome artwork, the options for making Toast your own are endless.
Toast’s Xbox One X skin starts at $49 and goes up depending on what custom options you pick. There are also skins for things like the PlayStation 4 Pro, Nintendo Switch, iPhone X, Pixel 2 XL, and more available all directly from Toast’s website. All of Toast’s products are made right here in the USA at the Portland, OR factory from local woods.
Do you want your own Toast? Well, you might not have to buy one at all! We’ve actually partnered with Toast to give away one skin to a lucky reader. The skin is your choice for any device, so it’s up to you what item you want to Toast.
We’ll announce one lucky winner next week on January 29th. All you have to do is share this post on Twitter for your chance to win.
