Does anyone really know what air purifiers are doing as they run? Sure you can check the filter occasionally and see all the dust it has collected, but what if you could tell in real time what it’s doing to the air you breathe. The newest Dyson Pure Cool now has an LCD display that will let you know exactly what’s going on while the machine is running.
The small, rounded LCD display is located at the base of the machine. It has a bar graph that shows you the current pollutants such as smoke, pollen or even exhaust fumes in the air. As the machine runs you can watch as the levels decrease over time. This a great new feature and Dyson is hoping it will soon educate consumers as to what its product is actually doing to improve air quality.
Sure it’s just a tiny little screen but it provides peace of mind to users, especially to those with allergies. The new Pure Cool purifier is able to get rid of 99.97 percent of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns. It also has a two-layer HEPA filter that only needs to be changed once a year if you use the machine 12 hours a day. It can even project the clean air up to 20 feet away.

Dyson also unveiled its Cyclone V10 cordless vacuum this week. It is the newest vacuum from the company that will soon stop producing corded vacuums. In the past, Dyson cordless vacuums have had terrible battery life and while its newest V10 still needs over 3 hours to charge, it can now last for up to one hour of continuous use.
Dyson believes that cordless vacuums are the future and they will most likely discontinue making corded upright models and focus on this new V10 motor. There’s also a battery life display that tells you when to recharge and they also moved the charging port to the bottom of the handle for better ease of use.
If you’re interested in either of these two products you can by them direct from Dyson today. The Pure Cool is priced at $449 for the smaller model or $520 for the larger one. The V10 starts at around $500 and works with previous generation attachments with additional attachments sold separately.
Dyson plans to move into international markets in the next few months. Until then, the products are only available in the U.S.
