How to: Get your patio ready for warm weather with these essentials

If warm weather hasn’t already hit your area, it is just around the corner. That means barbecues, get togethers or just lazy days hanging in the back yard are on the horizon. Today we are going to be sharing how to prepare your patio space for warm weather.

For starters, outdoor furniture is an essential for creating a relaxing and welcoming space. One of my favorite places to look for patio furniture is Wayfair. They have a wide variety of options and one of our top picks is the set of two Ivy Bronx Jemaine Outdoor Wicker Chairs for $550. These chairs move freely and make conversation easy. Plus, if it’s sunny you can turn away from it in a breeze.

Other furniture you may need is a table and chairs for outdoor meals or gatherings. The Vista Extension Table allows you to easily extend the table length which is very nice if you have more or less people show up to your get together. It also has an opening in the middle where an umbrella can be placed. Umbrellas let you take a break from the sun and keep you cool. The Beachcrest Home Mraz Umbrella would match this table perfectly and is on sale for $214.

After you have your furniture, it’s always nice to add a rug for personality and will protect your patio surface. One of our favorite rugs is the Navy Blue Cortes Indoor and Outdoor Area Rug. This rug is stain-resistant and versatile to place under furniture, dinning tables or bring it indoors after the season is over. It also is available in a variety of sizes.

As the seasons transition, nights can get cooler and a fire pit is a great way to keep warm. The Sun Joe Cast Stone Wood Fire Pit is not only gorgeous as a decor piece but it’s also very functional. It also has a mesh screen to keep sparks flying out. This fire pit has over 1,670 reviews and rated 4.3/5 stars.

Lastly, illuminating your space makes it welcoming and gives your space a glow. I love string lights and the Globe String Lights are on sale for $32. These lights are very on-trend and are made for outdoor use and are weather safe.
