Bang & Olufsen is a well-known name when it comes to higher-end audio gear. The company’s Beoplay line is becoming vaster in its offerings and is expanding even further today with the announcement of the Beoplay P6 Bluetooth speaker.
This speaker has numerous features and is set to be a great accessory to keep with you as summer quickly approaches. From its gorgeous styling to sound that’s tried and true from years of practice at Bang & Olufsen, this speaker is designed to be the centerpiece of any event.
The Beoplay P6 features up to 16 hours of battery life and splash resistance, which makes it perfect for the upcoming summer months. Band & Olufsen has packed a lot into this portable speaker, and it really shows.
The design is awesome and features near-360-degree sound. The buttons on the top give you quick access to normal functions; power, pairing, volume up and down, as well as a multi-function button to give you access to several features.
This multi-function center button allows you to access Google Assistant or Siri easily, as well as answer calls and more configurable within the Beoplay application itself. TouchTone presets give you full control over how the Beoplay P6 sounds. Storing multiple presets within the application itself and using the multi-function button to change between them means you can have a limitless number of audio listening experiences with minimal effort.
The Beoplay P6 is made from aluminum and comes in two colors: black and silver. The strap on the side is leather and makes carrying it a breeze, and even follows the main design color to match perfectly.
When it comes time to charge, Band & Olufsen is on the ball here. With its USB-C port, just about any modern phone charger will be able to top off the P6 when its 16-hour battery starts running low. I’m super happy to see USB-C integrated into more and more as time goes on.
The Beoplay P6 is set to go on sale April 26th for $399 at Bang & Olufsen’s official online and local stores, as well as major third-party retailers. Sure, there are more affordable speakers out there, but none carry the Band & Olufsen name or craftsmanship that comes with buying a B&O speaker.
