This time around, WaterField is setting its sights on the business professional with its newest product. The company today has announced the release of its new Pro Executive Backpack and Folio.
Last we heard from the company it was releasing the new Atlas Duffle Bag and the leather VIA wallet. It is back at it again with a focus on functional design, professional aesthetics and premium materials.
Hand-crafted in San Francisco, the new Pro Backpack features 1050 Denier black Ballistic nylon with full-grain leather accents, waterproof zippers and more. There are two waterproof zip pockets, a pair of larger side pockets for a water bottle and things of that nature, as well as a top front pocket. Along the back you’ll find one of those handy suitcase slots so you can sling it over your carry-on luggage while in the airport or traveling.
It also comes with the Executive Folio, which fits right inside and will run you an extra $49. For comparison’s sake, the same Folio will cost you $89 if purchased separately from the backpack itself. WaterField says it will fit right inside the main compartment of the new backpack or can be used on its own for short meetings and the like. By the looks of it, and judging by its past works, you’re likely not going to be sacrificing space for craftsmanship here. And that golden-colored interior material looks pretty nice as well if you ask me.
The Boardroom Backpack. The Pro Backpack blends sophisticated style with serious functionality. It’s highly organized with two compartments, strategically-placed pockets, and a removable Executive Folio for taking to short meetings.
On the inside, you’re looking at two main chambers. The first of which will carry your MacBook, documents and the Executive Folio, while the second will house anything else you might need with you for a day at the office.
The new WaterField Pro Executive Laptop Backpack is now available for pre-order starting at $349 shipped in black, crimson, chocolate and gray. The matching Executive Folio for 13 or 15-inch MacBooks will run you an extra $49 if you purchase it with the bag. Waterfield has scheduled the backpack to begin shipping on June 8th.
