HP announces the ENVY Curved AiO 34 with 1440p screen, Alexa, Qi-enabled base, more

We just finished up both Google I/O and Microsoft BUILD. At Microsoft’s BUILD conference, the company behind the Windows Operating System announced its partnership with Amazon and Alexa for voice assistants. The Alexa partnership is particularly interesting as it will now be built into Windows, but HP went a step further and built Amazon’s voice assistant into the hardware of its latest All-in-One desktop.

The HP ENVY Curved AiO 34 is the company’s latest AiO designed for professionals and consumers alike. With Intel’s latest 8th Generation Core processors and the NVIDIA GTX 1050 GPU onboard to help out with graphics processing, this 34-inch UltraWide AiO is a fantastic option for anyone with limited desk space.

The new HP Audio Stream allows users to send their favorite songs from a smartphone to the HP ENVY AiO’s speakers over Bluetooth, making this computer multi-functional.

On this unique AiO’s base is a built-in Qi wireless charger as well, giving you the ability to remove even more cords from your desk as you no longer need a separate charging cable.

This new AiO from HP has several unique features and Alexa is just one. There’s a special styling that features a dark ash woodgrain finish on the base and pale golden accents on the back and sides of the device, so it looks stunning from any angle.

Another area that this AiO excels is in the power department. With Intel’s new 8th Generation Core lineup, you’ll have plenty of heft to do the heavy-lifting of processor-intensive projects.

The built-in NVIDIA GTX 1050 GPU also means that you’ll be able to enjoy light gaming and have the benefits of a dedicated graphics card. This also assists in powering the AiO’s built-in 1440p UltraWide monitor.

The real unique feature of this computer is Alexa. There’s a blue light in the base reminiscent of current Alexa devices so you know when she’s listening, and you can use this computer as if it were an Echo sitting on your desk. This is another way HP is helping to slim down on desktop clutter.

The HP ENVY Curved AiO 34 is set to launch later this year, and pricing details will come out then as well. With the specs, design, and feature set we can expect a hefty price tag here, but it should be well worth the ask.
