RolliCool launches Alexa-enabled portable air conditioners starting at $400

Smart is the theme in 2018, and it’s awesome. Alexa (or Google Home/HomePod) are at the center of it all, and this latest product takes advantage of it in a way that can really be beneficial.

RolliCool launched a line of Alexa-enabled smart portable air conditioners. The power rating ranges from 10,000 to 14,000 BTUs and you can control it from an iOS/Android phone or with Alexa, depending on whether or not you want to use a phone or voice.

RolliCool aims to make smart home climate automation affordable, and it incorporates tons of features that normal central cooling and heating systems offer, but in a smaller more portable design. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for here in Florida as we prepare for hurricane season so we can be prepared for possible lengthy power loss.

All of RolliCool’s units will use regular R410-A coolant which is both eco-friendly and easy to obtain.

There are three models being launched, the 100H, 310, and 208. All feature Alexa-integration and you can power the air condition on/off, switch modes, and adjust temperatures. You can even use the app to do it when away from home, which is great as then you can be more economical by turning the air conditioner off when you leave, and on before you arrive home.

The 100H is the highest tier RolliCool offers, featuring 14,000 BTU, a dehumidifier and more for $529.99.

  • 14,000/12,000/10,000 BTU
  • Voice Control with Alexa
  • iOS/Android App Enabled
  • Remote and Digital Display
  • Dehumidifier
  • Fan-only mode
  • Whisper Quiet (56db)
  • High-Efficiency Carbon Air Filters
  • 24-Hour Timer
  • Oscillation
  • Eco-Friendly Coolant
  • MSRP: $529.99/$459.99/$399.99

The 310 will have 12,000 BTU of output but everything else is basically the same as the 100H, though price drops down to $459.99.

The most budget-friendly option is the 208 at 10,000 BTU. The rest of the features mirror the other two options, though price falls down to $399.99.

RolliCool will be available on Amazon in June, but more details about each model can be found on RolliCool’s website.

Home automation expert makes smart-home climate control affordable with Alexa enabled RolliCool line of portable air conditioners up to 14,000 BTUs

SOUTH BEND, IN (May 23, 2018) – Home automation expert RolliBot today announces its RolliCool line of Amazon Alexa enabled “smart” portable air conditioners. Ranging from 10,000 to 14,000 BTU capacity, the RolliCool line is Alexa compatible for voice commands, and also features an iOS/Android app that allows full control from anywhere in the world you can use your smartphone.

The RolliCool line aims to make smart-home climate automation an affordable option, incorporating many of the features of more expensive central cooling and heating systems in a sleek, portable design. All three units function as air conditioners, heaters and dehumidifiers. All RolliCool models also use eco-friendly R410-A coolant.

“As our homes and devices become more connected, it’s easier than ever to manage climate and comfort while controlling costs, especially in the summer months,” says Chief Marketing Officer Jason Wakefield. “But that technology hasn’t been as accessible or affordable for those with older homes or small apartments. RolliCool is changing that.”
