Also, if you get invited to a barbecue and don’t want to go empty-handed, any of the cookbooks below would be the perfect gift for a hostess. Keep scrolling to see our favorite new cookbooks of the summer.

One of the new cookbooks that caught my eye is Cook Fast, Eat Well: 5 Ingredients, 10 minutes, 160 recipes by Sue Quinn. Especially in the summer, the majority of families’ schedules are crazy busy. This cookbook helps simplify cooking with healthy meals for your family on a timely budget of under 10 minutes. Some of the recipes include delicious fettuccine alfredo, vietnamese duck rolls and even chocolate cake in a mug for desert.

If you’re a fan of Giada then you have to pick up her new book Italy: My Recipes for La Dolce Vita. In the book she shares recipes from her authentic Italian background with dishes including grilled swordfish with a candied lemon salad, spaghetti with chianti and fava beans, asparagus with a grilled melon salad, bruschetta and more. This book is already rated 4.7/5 stars on Amazon.

Another great cookbook to try this summer is Once Upon a Chef, the Cookbook: 100 Tested, Perfected, and Family-Approved Recipes by Jennifer Segal. Before writing this cookbook, Jennifer was a full-time mom and blogger on the website Once Upon a Chef. In this book she helps you improve your cooking one recipe at a time, with helpful tips on topics such as how to season correctly with salt, how to balance flavors, and how to make the most out of leftovers. Some of the recipes to look forward to are maple, coconut, blueberry, granola and savory ham and cheese waffles, fiery roasted tomato soup paired with smoked gouda and pesto grilled cheese sandwiches and more.

Lastly, If you are vegan or vegetarian you will love True Roots: A Mindful Kitchen with More Than 100 Recipes Free of Gluten, Dairy, and Refined Sugar by Kristin Cavallari. This cookbook was a New York Times bestseller, and it shows you that improving the way you eat doesn’t have to be difficult. A few of the recipes include green banana muffins and bison and veggie kabobs. Rated 4/5 stars on Amazon.
