We’ve been prepping you for Prime Day 2018 over the last few weeks, detailing ways you can prepare and our own predictions for the big day. While Amazon has yet to announce its plans officially, we’re heard through our sources that Prime Day is going to happen on Tuesday, July 17th. We’re expecting the deals to start rolling in the night before with Prime member-exclusive offers kicking off up to a week in advance.
In the past, Amazon has typically announced Prime Day roughly two weeks in advance of the actual date. That’s been as early as June 29th. While Amazon’s summer shopping extravaganza typically happens in the first half of July, this year appears to be a departure from that trend.
Our sources say that Amazon has restricted vacation time for the week of July 15th in preparation for the big day. Last year’s event saw Amazon ship a record-breaking number of orders, with a 60% increase year over year. Look for July’s Prime Day to encompass a wider range of categories than ever before.
Along with being dubbed “the biggest day ever in Amazon history”, Prime Day 2017 saw a substantial amount of Alexa devices moved, along with more than 3.5-million toys. The best-selling items were an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker and an at-home DNA kit.
Will you be shopping on Prime Day this year? Let us know in the comments below which items you’ll be eyeing.
