HyperX has added a Pro version of the well-rated Pulsefire FPS gaming mouse to its product line-up. As you would expect, the Pulsefire FPS Pro gets some upgrades from the standard model. Some major differences are an upgraded Pixart 3389 sensor, which provides up to 16,000 DPI tracking and onboard memory for storing custom profiles directly on the mouse, making it easy to switch things up while on-the-go.
HyperX, a gaming division of Kingston, offers everything gamers need to get the performance they are looking for. From external peripherals such as headsets, mice, keyboards to internal memory and SSDs, HyperX has developed a great name for itself in the industry, with most of its products fetching high ratings from customers.
The company’s new mouse offers some features that differentiate it from most of its competition. One of those details is onboard memory for custom profiles, making it a cinch to switch lighting and effects when the mood strikes. The mouse comes with enough onboard memory to store three custom profiles.
With its textured side grips and ergonomic design, the mouse offers a comfortable gaming experience similar to what is found on the standard model. Grips and comfort should lend themselves nicely to longer and more precise gaming sessions.
“Our goal was to complement the HyperX suite of gaming peripherals, offering a combination of performance and customization for professional and enthusiast gamers alike. The Pulsefire FPS Pro meets performance needs and has a comfortable design for hours of gaming.”
In order to set up custom profiles on the Pulsefire FPS Pro, you will need to download NGenuity from HyperX. This software allows gives users the ability to tweak the mouse to look and perform just the way they like.
In addition to personalized sensor performance, macros and DPI settings, users can also browse a library of game profile presets that help reduce the time it takes to configure the six programmable buttons for most games.
Six programmable buttons is a definite upgrade from the entry-level model that only comes with four. The Pulsefire FPS Pro offers Omron switches on the two main buttons. These are expected to offer 20 million clicks each and provide ‘crisp tactile feedback’ that help you know when a button has been clicked.
The new HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro is available today for $59.99. That’s only $10 more than the list price for the standard version, keeping it close enough that many gamers may opt to buy higher-tier option to gain the additional features.
