Now that Apple has officially unveiled the new iPhone Xs, Xs Max and XR, all of the best accessory makers are dropping their latest covers, cases and more. WaterField’s new suede sleeve is now available while the entire new lineup of leather Pad & Quill wallets and cases are all right here. If you’re looking for a simple leather case without breaking the bank, Nomad’s new family of cases is a great place to start and you’ll find a huge list of others starting from around $10 or so right here.
But now it’s time to get away from the fancy leather covers and start talking protection. These new handsets are insanely inexpensive so any one looking to take one on the job site, camping or any other outdoor adventure, should really look into the new OtterBox options.
OtterBox has been a trusted name in iPhone protection for years now. Just about everyone I know that works in construction or anything along those lines basically swears by them and really couldn’t do without something similar.
Fortunately, OtterBox has now unveiled all of its new iPhone Xs, Xs Max and XR cases including the popular Defender, Symmetry, Strada and Pursuit Series, each of which offer varying degrees of protection depending on your needs. However, the company is also unveiling its new Defender Series Pro Screenless Edition Case for all three new handsets.
Described as the “next generation of iconic protection”, Defender Series Pro features much of the same drop, shock and waterproofing technology you’re used to along with OtterArmor Microbial Defense which “shields the case against many common germs.” It also features a synthetic rubber slipcover as well as a holster which can be used as a swiveling belt clip and a kickstand of sorts. While not my personal favorite look, many people who require this kind of protection really benefit from having their device mounted right on the waist. This one starts at $59.95 depending on the model, although the XR options are currently not available to order just yet.
OtterBox is also introducing the new Traction series for iPhone Xs and Xs Max. While you’re certainly forgoing much of the heavy-duty protection of the Defender options, this is a more aesthetic focused approach for the company. Having said that, it still features a nice scratch-resistant design along with paint splatter aesthetics and an overall look that will leave your gorgeous phone visible to jealous onlookers. It will be starting at $39.95 but is not quite available for purchase just yet.
You can check out the entire lineup of new OtterBox cases right here and for everything you need to know about the new phones, hit up our news hub for Apple’s latest keynote event.
