Walmart Black Friday 2018

Like it or not, Black Friday 2018 is closing in fast. We’re already getting our first batch of ads, guides and more from big name retailers. Amongst the most popular retailers, Walmart is sure to draw in massive amounts of shoppers during the year’s largest shopping event. To beat crowds, you’ll want to plan ahead on how to best tackle all of your shopping. So be sure to head below get crash course on how to prepare for Walmart Black Friday.

When is Black Friday at Walmart?

Arguably the most important thing to know, Black Friday kicks off on November 23rd this year. But unlike Amazon’s online sale , for the past few years Walmart has opened its doors at 6 PM on Thanksgiving rather than waiting for the clock to strike midnight. We’re expecting this will stay the same in 2018, so those wanting to get their shopping done as soon as possible will be able to start right after they’ve enjoyed their turkey.

Last year, Walmart began offering discounts as early as November 12th. Look for Walmart to do the same in 2018 as competition heats up early in the month than ever before.

Walmart free shipping requirements

To lock in free shipping at Walmart, you’ll need to spend $35 or more. Free in-store pickup is also available for many orders. In years past, Walmart has made some adjustments to this minimum so be sure to keep an eye on any changes there.

How can I take advantage of Walmart’s discounts?

You’ll be able to shop both in-store or online for Black Friday 2018 at Walmart. Online sales have historically began at 12:01 AM on Thanksgiving day, which then carry on through Friday. Those looking to take advantage of in-store discounts will have to wait until 6 PM though.

To lock in the savings, you won’t have to worry about being a rewards member or anything like that. All of Walmart’s discounts are available to everyone, which is great for those without Prime memberships looking to get in on the savings.

Walmart also sweetens the pot for online shoppers willing to head in-store for pickup. In many cases, items will receive additional discounts just for skipping online shipping and heading into your local Walmart. So for those looking to score the most savings this Black Friday, be on the lookout for in-store pickup discounts.

Will there be Walmart Doorbusters?

Yes. Walmart has traditional offered doorbusters in the past and we don’t expect that to change this year. Last year HDTVs were extremely popular doorbusters and odds are we’ll be seeing at least a few notable discounts for Black Friday 2018. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console bundles were big as well in the past, something likely to repeat this year as well. Those wanting to lock-in these deep discounts will want to be at their local store ready to go before 6 PM.

What deals can we expect from Walmart Black Friday?

Just about anything you can think of. There will be tech, video games, home goods and the list goes on. Odds are if Walmart carries a product category, there will be some notable deals to find.

Will Walmart price match other retailers?

Unfortunately, Walmart’s price match policy excludes discounts from competitors starting on Thanksgiving Day through Cyber-Monday. So those looking to take advantage of price matching will have to head over to Amazon.
