Today’s Apple event graced us with a series of new gear including 2018 iPad Pros, a new Mac mini and the updated MacBook Air. While it will take some time for accessory makers to get a full lineup of add-ons, covers, and cases in order, WaterField’s new Sutter Tech Sling Bag for iPad Pro and MacBook Air is right on time.
The last we heard from WaterField was in our best new cases for iPhone XS/Max/R roundup with the Fused Suede Case. Much like iPhone Day 2018, WaterField is one of the first out of the gate with a new option for Apple’s latest releases.
Sutter Tech Sling Bag for iPad Pro and MacBook Air
The Sutter Tech Sling Bag for iPad Pro and MacBook Air makes use of the same premium materials we have come to love from WaterField gear. That includes a 1050 Denier black ballistic or brown waxed canvas exterior with full-grain leather accents. You’re also looking at a YKK zipper, a slick gold-colored interior, padded pockets for your new Apple gear (also fits the older stuff), and a built-in shoulder pad.
WaterField has also implemented some interesting features here as well. The cam lock buckle can be adjusted with one hand in order to ensure a snug fit against your body. There is also a D-ring-to-Strap attachment that allows the bag to rotate up to 180 degrees, which will make sure the single strap design lays flat against your back whether you’re using it over your shoulder or across your torso.
Free Pre-order Gifts
The new Sutter Tech Sling Bag for iPad Pro and MacBook Air comes in two sizes: full and standard. The larger option is great for the new MacBook Air that Apple just announced (or older 13-inch MacBook Pros) while the smaller one will work well with that gorgeous new iPad Pro. But WaterField is also throwing in a complementary Stylus Pencil case with orders of the new sling bag from now through November 9th. It carries a $39 value in either waxed canvas or ballistic nylon with a dedicated Apple Pencil slot.
The Sutter Tech Sling Bag starts at $169 for the standard model and is available for pre-order right now with the aforementioned complementary gift. The listing says it will begin shipping on November 9th. Head over to 9to5Mac for all of our coverage on Apple’s latest gear and more.
