Last month, LEGO kicked off the holiday season by releasing its annual Advent calendars. Just recently we got a look at its Holiday Toy Book and that’s now being followed up with a look at the LEGO 2018 Christmas Catalog. Stacking up to 80 pages, this year’s catalog is packed with the year’s most desired kits, new releases and more. Head below for a full look at what the upcoming catalog has to offer.
A Glimpse at LEGO’s Christmas offerings
With nearly double the pages as this year’s first look at the LEGO holiday offerings, the 2018 Christmas Catalog is filled to the brim a much wider range of kits. As always, there are notable highlights for just about every demographic. So it doesn’t matter if you’re shopping for younger LEGO fans. Of if you’re just looking to see the latest and greatest for more experienced builders. There’s a more than adequate level of offerings.
Given that this is the LEGO 2018 Christmas Catalog, there’s plenty of festively-themed kits. We’re also getting a first look at this year’s brick-built ornament. The cute little Santa hat-clad penguin joins a long list of past creations. From there you’ll find the usual assortment of sets including everything from Duplo to Star Wars, City, Ninjago and more. The line of Ideas kits has received a prominent feature, something that the earlier Toy Book failed to offer.
LEGO also has opted to include a section on sets that will soon be retired, encouraging collectors to lock in their purchases now before the kits are removed from shelves for good. Amongst the batch, the Ideas Women of NASA set stands out, which is a shame its being retired after being on the market for a little over a year.
All-in-all, this year’s LEGO Christmas Catalog is pretty much just what you’d expect. It showcases all the latest and greatest, includes a few new releases and will surely get LEGO fans excited to unwrap whichever sets await under the tree. Those preparing to take advantage of any Black Friday LEGO deals will want to check out our guide.
