After quickly jumping up in price/going in and out of stock, the latest deal on the Apple Studio Display has returned at Amazon. You can now score the base model with Apple’s stock tilt-adjustable stand down at $1,299.99 shipped, down from the $1,599 you would normally pay at Apple and elsewhere. This is nearly $300 off the going rate, matching our previous mention, and landing on par with the best price of the year. This is also matching the historical low at Amazon and comes in at $200 under the sale price you’ll find at B&H right now. Be sure to hit the jump for a closer look.
The Apple Studio Display certainly isn’t the most affordable monitor for your headless Mac, be it the discounted Mac mini, Mac Studio, or otherwise, but, if you ask me, it is definitely one of the most gorgeous. It spans 27 inches with 5K resolutions and comes loaded with extras like Apple’s 12MP FaceTime camera and Center Stage. The A13 chip-powered, 6-speaker sound system also joins a sort of onboard hub of sorts – a Thunderbolt port with 96W charging as well as some downstream USB-C ports for jacking in some bonus externals.
Now, clearly the Apple Studio Display is a piece of kit geared towards film, photography, and music professionals, among other things, or folks looking to drop some serious cash for a beautiful Apple display on the desktop – I will be super jealous if you get one. You, however, can bring home an entire Mac for this price in some cases. The new M3 MacBookAir is starting at $950 right now, and for that AIO vibe, the latest 24-inch iMac desktop machines are starting at about $100 under the price of the entry-level Studio Display right now.
Apple Studio Display features:
Studio Display brings a stunning all-screen design with narrow borders and a refined, all-aluminum enclosure that houses an advanced set of features in a slim profile. Its built-in stand allows the user to tilt the display up to 30 degrees. To meet the needs of a variety of workspaces, Studio Display also offers a tilt- and height-adjustable stand option with a counterbalancing arm that makes the display feel weightless as it is adjusted. A VESA mount adapter option is also available, and supports landscape or portrait orientation for even more flexibility.
