ECOVACS has been a major player in the robotic cleaning game for a long while, and remains one of our favorites. I just recently had a chance to go hands-on with one of the brand’s latest flagship solutions, the ECOVACS DEEBOT X2 Combo – an all-in-one robotic cleaning system with auto-empty and auto mop washing, alongside an included hand vacuum, and it is simply fantastic…the best one I’ve tested out yet. But today, the brand is ready to officially unveil its next release known as the ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S Combo, a cleaning system designed to deliver much of the same amenities and technological advancements of the ECOVACS DEEBOT X2 Combo at a lower price point with even more power and some interesting Apple Watch and iOS integrations. Now available for purchase on Amazon with up to $150 in savings, you can get a breakdown of the DEEBOT T30S below.
ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S – super-powered suction at $150 off
The new ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S comes in two variations; the DEEBOT T30S with the Omni auto-empty and cleaning station, and the DEEBOT T30S Combo that delivers all of that alongside the brand’s hand vacuum that holsters directly in the Omni station.
Despite its lower price tag – it’s $400 less, the ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S delivers on just about all of the major features of the more pricey DEEBOT X2 Combo alongside even more vacuuming power – it ups the suction from 8,000Pa to an impressive 11,000Pa and the X2 already leaves my floors squeaky clean. It features ZeroTangle tech said to efficiently pick up all forms of “debris, dust, and hair, while preventing tangles to ensure low-maintenance cleaning, ideal for pet owners.”
By bringing the innovative whole-home cleaning system, previously exclusive to the top-of-the-line X2 COMBO series, to the mid-range line of DEEBOTs, ECOVACS makes groundbreaking cleaning technology more accessible than ever before.
The new T30S brings with it the all-new TrueEdge Adaptive Edge Mopping system – it positions the mop pads on the edges poking just outside of the unit, alongside an extendable arm, to help it get to harder to reach areas like underneath appliances and around corner walls.
As far as the Omni station goes, it doesn’t sound like ECOVACS has made many, if any, compromises in this regard with the lower price of entry either. It still automatically empties the dust bin on the robotic vacuum as well as the hand vac (it also charges them both while they are docked) and will both hot wash the mop pads with 158-degree water and dry them off. On top of that, it will also auto-refill the water tank on the robot – there’s clean and dirty water tanks hidden inside the Omni station to accomodate this.
Voice commands, Apple Watch, and iOS Dynamic Island
Another thing that caught our eye this time is some of the Apple integrations. We know YIKO, the ECOVACS virtual voice assistant (I use it all the time on the DEEBOT X2 Combo), but unlike the brand’s previous release, ECOVACS is also pointing out the DEEBOT T30S model’s ability to work across Apple Watch, with smartphone widgets, and integration with the Dynamic Island on iOS too. It sounds like you’ll be able to start cleaning jobs from your Apple Watch and monitor the tasks from the Dynamic Island on iOS without even opening the ECOVACS app now? Hard to say for sure at this point, but we have reached out to the brand for clarification and our hands-on review is inbound. There is no Siri control here though, just “Google Assistant and Alexa for enhanced convenience.”
The DEEBOT T30S COMBO provides an advanced, user-friendly experience with seamless controls through mobile widgets, Dynamic Island on iPhone, Apple Watch support, and foot touch options, combined with YIKO Voice Assistant for natural command interpretation and ECOVACS HOME app for deep cleaning customization.
DEEBOT T30S/COMBO Launch deals
The new DEEBOT T30S COMBO looks to be an impressive addition to the lineup – I sort of wish I had this one as opposed to the X2 in some ways – and it comes in at a lower price point with some launch deals on Amazon too:
- ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S $900 (Reg. $1,000)
- ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S COMBO $1,050 (Reg. $1,200)
The higher-end models, and even this new “mid-tier” option from ECOVACS certainly aren’t the most affordable robot vacuums out there, and there are some decent models for much less. But in my experience you truly do get what you pay for when it comes to these things. The brand’s auto-room and floor mapping tech, alongside the voice assistant action are easily some of the best in the game and, let me tell you, no robot vacuum has left my floors as sparkling clean without me having to lift a finger for weeks-on-weeks at a time like the DEEBOT lineup. It is a pretty penny, but for folks looking for a truly autonomous cleaning solution, landing one of these on sale or with the launch deals does deliver a seriously intelligent chore bot to a home near you.
