While we did track some notable deals on the 14-inch M3 Pro MacBook last week, Amazon is stepping in today with a solid discount on Apple’s latest 16-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro. Regularly $2,499, you’ll know find the Silver and Space Black model starting from $2,249.99 shipped. That’s nearly $250 off the going rate and matching our previous mention on the most affordable current-generation 16-inch form-factor. It is currently selling at $2,299 over at Best Buy, for comparison. Having said that, this is not one of those 8GB Apple laptops – it has 18GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD inside. Head below for more details.
As you’ll know from our hands-on look at the new Space Black model, the latest M3 Pro machines deliver a somewhat familiar form-factor outside with enhancements across the board inside. The model featured up top here boasts a 12‑core CPU, 8‑core GPU, and 18GB of memory too. Whether you’re “manipulating gigapixel panoramas or compiling millions of lines of code,” M3 Pro is ready with up to 22 hours of battery life and that sweet 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display (over 1000 nits of brightness). A 1080p FaceTime HD camera, six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio, a MagSafe charging port, SDXC card slot, and Thunderbolt 4 ports are all at the ready here as well.
If you, however, think the M3 Pro machines are overkill for your needs, scope out the price drop we spotted today on Apple’s new mid-range 15-inch M3 MacBook Air instead. This one is starting from $1,399 shipped right now, or $100 off the going rate, that’s over $850 under the price of the pro machine and a notable chance to score a current-gen, modern-day Mac for much less – if you’re not addicted to Final Cut color correctors, Pro Res editing, and Logic Pro sessions with 100 tracks, it might very well be more than enough.
Apple M3 Pro MacBook Pro features:
With an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU, the Apple M3 chip can help you blaze through everyday multitasking and take on pro projects like editing thousands of photos or 4K video. Go all day thanks to the power-efficient design of Apple silicon. The MacBook Pro laptop delivers the same exceptional performance whether it’s running on battery
