The deals have been rolling on the new M2 iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro configurations since before they were ever released, and following closely behind were all of the cases and covers for them. We have seen some fantastic leather options from brands like Burton Goods (exclusive 20% off for 9to5 readers right here by the way), Harber London, DODOcase, and others, all of which are rounded up in our feature piece right here. But now it’s time to look at some of the more affordable options from one of our favorite budget-friendly brands, Spigen. This is a brand that has been providing solid case options for all of Apple’s gear for years at affordable prices and with a quality that hits above their pay grade. Its new Urban Fit model for Apple’s latest tablets has caught our eye and it’s now available for purchase on Amazon at just $35 for the M2 iPad Air and M4 iPad Pro.
New Spigen Urban Fit iPad covers
While some folks swear by the official Apple Smart Folios for iPad, they just aren’t for me. Even though they are quite good in many respects, they just seem to look like something you can score from any no-name brand on Amazon for a fraction of the price to me. And if I’m not going to go for an expensive leather solution, I would prefer something that lands at a much affordable price tag than the $79+ on Apple’s, as well as something that as some kind of interesting design or material treatment.
And that’s where the new Spigen Urban Fit comes in. Featuring a sort of tight knit fabric covering, it’s another one of those Spigen releases that looks like it could cost $50, $75, or $100 if it had some high-end brand name attached to it. But it doesn’t, it’s just $35 via the brand’s official Amazon storefront. And this isn’t fineWoven okay, I tried out this Urban Fit knit many a times, and it’s far more robust as far as I’m concerned.
There’s nothing overly special here, just a clean fabric treatment wrapped around the made for M4 iPad Pro and M2 Air form-factors.
Described as a “thin, yet protective” solution, the partially flexible cover can fold up and down into a stand or workstation – Theater Mode with the built-in kickstand or Utility Mode for a more flat experience when drawing or writing with Apple Pencil Pro, for example.
And speaking of your new high-tech digital Apple stylus, the design of this case fully “supports magnetic charging of the Apple Pencil” and provides easy access to the fingerprint sensor on the iPad as well.
The new Spigen Urban Fit knit fabric case for iPad is available for both models with three color options: black, Midnight Green, and Rose Gold. But you’l only find a 13-inch model for the M2 Air as of right now:
- Spigen Urban Fit 11-inch M4 iPad Pro $35
- Spigen Urban Fit 13-inch M4 iPad Pro $35
- Spigen Urban Fit 13-inch M2 iPad Air $35
