Ask anything and cook anything with Brisk It’s new Vera AI virtual assistant

“Hey, Vera! Grill me a medium-rare rib-eye steak.” This is a simple question and an easy task for Brisk It’s new advanced virtual assistant, Vera. Brisk It, a leading innovator in AI grilling technologies, wowed consumers at the Consumer Electronics Show in January of 2024 with the news of this upcoming launch. Theoretically, you can ask anything, say anything, and cook anything with the help of the Vera AI assistant on any Brisk It grill. It almost sounds too good to be true. This may be the first time you have heard about this brand, but I have a suspicious feeling that this launch may change that. Head below for more details.

Brisk It came onto the grilling scene in 2020 with a vision of making a smart grill that was accessible to everyone regardless of skill level, food preferences, or time constraints. Its Origin-580 Smart Grill was its flagship product, and it does a beautiful job of combining traditional wood pellet smoking techniques with smart home/AI technologies. A worry-free and automated cooking experience, practically the first of its kind. Brisk It previously relied on InnoGrill technology, which worked seamlessly with the grills but was limited to pre-defined recipes. Vera expands on this technology with the ability to pull unlimited recipes and grilling tips for the user during the grilling experience. No need to find a recipe, just simply ask Vera what you want, and it will take care of the rest.

“We’re excited to bring Vera to consumers following its debut at CES earlier this year. We got a ton of great feedback at the show and have no doubt Vera A.I. is going to revolutionize the grilling experience,” said Brisk It CEO Christopher Huang. “Grilling can seem a daunting and time-consuming task for a lot of us, but with Vera, it doesn’t have to be. All you have to do is get a prompt started and Vera will do the rest for you, from figuring out what to eat to cooking the food for you.”

Here are some examples of prompts you can ask Vera:

  • “Grill me a medium-rare rib-eye steak.”
  • “Smoke a prime rib roast and a whole chicken at the same time for 15 people, but avoid peanuts.”
  • “What can I make with leftover ground beef, cilantro, nachos, shrimp, and gouda cheese?
  • “I’m allergic to bell peppers—make me a spicy chicken wing dish!”
  • “What’s the best seasoning for a sweet and smoky salmon?”

Not only can Vera generate any recipe and fully automate the cooking process for said recipe, but it can also adapt like a human when problems arise. If an unexpected error occurs, Vera reacts and adjusts on its own to ensure your food comes out perfect each and every time. If you forget to flip the steak or remove the chicken from the hot grill, Vera will adapt in real-time. I’ll say it again: It seems too good to be true! As someone who creates recipes for a local magazine, this grill is intriguing to say the least. Can it really create and execute perfect dishes by simply asking a question? While this may not be the type of grilling experience everyone desires, it is definitely a revolutionary one for some. Families are only getting busier, and sometimes you just need the guesswork to be taken out of busy weeknights. I’ll be watching closely to see how consumers feel about this custom grilling experience, it will be interesting to say the least.

Pricing and Availability

Vera is available through the Brisk It app with the purchase of an Origin-580 or Origin-940 Smart Grill. On Brisk It’s website, the Origin-580 Grill costs $699.99 (Reg. $1000), while the Origin-940 Grill costs $899.99 (Reg. $1400). You’ll also find the Origin-580 on Amazon; it’s currently priced at $900 there. If you are in the market for a new smart grill that uses wood pellet smoking techniques while also completely revolutionizing the way you approach grilling, this just might be the launch for you. An AI-powered grill/smoker? What a time to be alive.
