Well, brick-built Nintendo fans are in for a serious treat as LEGO just officially unveiled the new Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set (#77092). Combining the legendary Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda series with an impressive brick-built construction, epic Korok miniature figurines, and mini figs for both Zelda and the Hero of Light himself, the set clocks in at 2,500 pieces and you can get a closer look below.

LEGO’s new The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1

As the name suggests, this is a 2-in-1 set allowing builders to transition between the Deku Tree as it is known in Ocarina of Time and in Breath of the Wild. The latter version allows builders to animate the great tree’s face by way of an onboard lever while the tree’s mouth will pop open in the Ocarina timeline to reveal a Skulltula enemy.

There’s also some obvious aesthetic differences between the two builds, the Breath of the Wild version is sporting pink blossoms across the great branches, as opposed to the lush greenery on the Ocarina version, alongside the included iconic pedestal for the Master Sword and thr ability to build link’s house.

In total, the 2,500-piece set includes four minifigs:  Princess Zelda and Link as well as both Link and Young Link for the Ocarina timeline. Other buildable personalities included consist of Hestu the Korok, Navi the Fairy, the Deju Sprout, the aforementioned a Skulltula, and a bunch of smaller Koroks.

The LEGO The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set is now available for pre-order at $299.99

And here’s more details from Nintendo and the LEGO designer:

The Deku Tree was the first element from The Legend of Zelda we wanted to represent using LEGO bricks. This set allows you to build two different versions of the Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with unique features that are a great fit for the nature of the series. I can’t wait for everyone to get the chance to build this part of The Legend of Zelda world with their own hands”.

LEGO Designer, Wes Talbott, comments about the creation of the set: “Our fans have been asking for a LEGO set based on The Legend of Zelda series for a while so we were delighted to work with Nintendo to create the Great Deku Tree in brick form. As a fan of the franchise, it was great to work on this set and fill it with details and references from the games. I’m also glad we managed to offer the choice to build one of two versions to appeal to many Zelda fans. I can’t wait to see the fans reaction to this set.”
