New LEGO Chrysanthemum and Plum Blossom flower sets surface, launching in August

Update: LEGO has now officially unveiled the Chrysanthemum and Plum Blossom flower sets, pre-orders are going live soon.

We are big fans of the LEGO botanical sets around here and it looks like some new LEGO foliage is on the way to brighten your space – no watering needed. The adorable Tiny Plants set debuted at the tail end of last year (and is currently on sale right here) to expand your LEGO, brick-built greenhouse, but a pair of new set have been spotted via French retailer Fnac resting in blocky vases atop brick-built wooden trays. You can get more details and a closer look at the new 10368 Chrysanthemum and 10369 Plum Blossom sets down below.

New LEGO flowers on the way!

These new LEGO Icons sets join recent debuts for the 2,500-piece Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set, the new LEGO GWP Tribute to Jules Verne set, the latest Speed Champions Ferrari F40 and NASCAR Camaro ZL1 sets, and the epic 2-in-1 Bumblebee Transformers set. But for now we are focused on the new LEGO flowers.

It looks as though the new LEGO Chrysanthemum and Plum Blossom will be among the most affordable of the new LEGO Icons theme sets at somewhere in the $29.99 range.

According to the box imagery here, the Plum Blossom lands in a 327-piece configuration while the Chrysanthemum build is made up of 278 pieces. Another point of note here with the box art – it seems as though these two sets are part of a larger collection consisting as of yet unknown builds. Judging by the small icons on the box, I would venture a guess we are also getting a new bamboo build and what looks to be another flower set (potentially an orchid or cherry blossom).

Specific details on these kits beyond that are still to come, including a release date. In the meantime, check out some imagery below:
