Update: The Best Buy Member Deals Days sale is set to kick off at roughly 1 a.m. ET (or very shortly thereafter) with thousands of deals on tech, home appliances, smart TVs, and more.
When it comes to mid-year and early fall deal events, Amazon’s Prime Day remains king, but Best Buy is looking to get aggressive with this year’s summer Member Deals Days sale. Best Buy’s membership program has become more popular over the last year or two, offering notable savings on new releases and even deeper deals during holiday events, not to mention a similar free shipping setup as Amazon Prime, and this year Best Buy will be hosting a week-long event just for Plus and Total members well ahead of the Prime Day festivities to try and ruin Amazon’s fun in the sun.
When is the Member Deals Days sale?
Best Buy’s Member Deal Days sale will launch well ahed of the mid July Prime Day event. It starts on June 24 and will run through until June 30.
Best Buy is looking to inject even more value into its paid membership plans with these exclusive sale event, very much the way Amazon does with Prime Day, and it’s clearly trying to get ahead of the game too. While it’s hard to imagine the Member Deal Days sale truly rivaling the Amazon member event, it will almost certainly offer up some notable price drops with at least a 2-week head start on Amazon. It all depends on whether or not folks are willing to take a shot that the Best Buy prices come the end of June will beat out Amazon’s mid-July sale – both retailers offer much of the same gear after all. If you’re a My Best Buy Plus or Total member, but not a Prime member, the Member Deal Days event might every well be the biggest deal event of the summer for you.
What will be on sale during Best Buy’s Member Deals Days?
Details are mostly under wraps right now, again, much like Amazon’s Prime event. We don’t know a whole lot at this point outside of the dates, but you can most certainly expect a wide range of price drops on Apple, Google, and Samsung tech, alongside smart home gear, big screen 4K smart TVs, and likely even home appliances – its 4th of July sale on these has already started with up to 50% off.
Do you need to be a My Best Buy member to score the deals?
By the looks of it, yes. But these deals, judging by the early advertisement art, will only be the for the paid tiers of Best Buy’s memberships: My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total – I almost hope this thing really takes off so I can just say Plus and Total and everyone knows what I mean. Are we there yet?
As a quick refresher, here’s how pricing and the perks breakdown for each of them:
- My Best Buy Plus $49.99 per year
- Free 2-day shipping
- Member-only pricing and discounts
- Early access to hard-to-find products
- My Best Buy Total $179.99 per year
- Free 2-day shipping
- Member-only pricing and discounts
- Early access to hard-to-find products

There is a FREE tier My Best Buy membership that includes free standard shipping with no minimum purchase, but does not include the rest of the perks mentioned above, or access to the Member Deals Days. However, considering it’s entirely free, you might as well sign up for the shipping perks just in case anyway.
As I’m sure you know by now, we will be working day and day out during the Best Buy and Amazon events to ensure the deals are front and center – follow us everywhere so you don’t miss out.
