We are tracking a notable price drop today at Walmart which is offering the HyperX DuoCast USB Condenser Microphone down at $49.99 shipped. This USB mic has fetched as much as $100 in recent months, but it is now seeing a solid 50% discount, matching our previous mention from April when it dropped to a $50 Amazon low. This mic dropped to the $50 mark for the first time during the Black Friday deal season last year and it remains the lowest price we have tracked for it. Head below for more details.

As detailed in our hands-on review, the HyperX DuoCast features cardioid and omnidirectional pickup patterns, and you can switch between the two with just a touch of a button. This USB microphone supports 24-bit/96kHz recording, and it also has a low-profile shock mount to “reduce the pickup of unwanted rumble and vibrations.” What I also love about this device is its tasteful RGB light ring with two customizable zones. Other highlights of the HyperX DuoCast microphone include wide compatibility with a variety of devices, a tap-to-mute sensor, gain control adjustment, and more.

If you’d like to pair it with a good pair of headsets for gaming, then check out the deal that drops Corsair’s HS65 wireless gaming headset to $70. It supports Dolby Audio with 7.1 surround sound and is down from its $115 usual going rate. Folks who prefer a wired gaming headset can also consider Alienware’s AW520H at $50, down from its usual price of $90.

HyperX DuoCast USB Condenser Mic features:

  • Customizable RGB light ring: The tasteful RGB light ring gives the DuoCast a touch of vibrant RGB style with 2 customizable zones. Built for gaming, but professional enough to handle business.
  • Hi-Res 24-bit/96kHz recording: Capture accurate, low-noise recordings with the DuoCast’s high bit depth and sampling rate.
  • Low-profile shock mount: Form and function: The sleek, minimalist design also contains a shock mount to reduce the pickup of unwanted rumble and vibrations.
  • Tap-to-Mute sensor & gain control adjustment: Convenient tap-to-mute functionality and an easy to use gain control adjustment knob let you take control of your broadcast sound.
  • Two polar patterns: As referenced by its name, the DuoCast has two polar patterns: cardioid and omnidirectional. Switch between the two at the touch of a button.
